Si no entiendes muy bien el titulo con la siguiente imagen quedara mucho más claro:
winecfg vs vineyard
Y es que se trata de Vineyard, una aplicacion que se encarga de facilitarnos la configuración de Wine en nuestro escritorio Ubuntu de una manera más intuitiva y esteticamente más cercana al escritorio Gnome.
Pata instalarlo solo debes agregar el siguiente repositorio PPA en Ubuntu Lucid (10.04):
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cybolic/ppa
Y si usas Karmic también puedes agregar las siguientes lineas al Origenes del Software:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/cybolic/ppa/ubuntu lucid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/cybolic/ppa/ubuntu lucid main
Para finalmente instalar usando la terminal:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install vineyard
O buscando el paquete en Synaptic.

La lastima es que parece que wineyard solo sirve para realizar una configuracion global de wine,y para instalar aplicaciones es necesario crear bottles con diferentes configuraciones del mismo modo que hacen crossover o playonlinux.Es necesario un sistema asi.
